Ambulance Celebrates 40th Anniversary
On
the evening of Saturday, August 11, the Berlin Area Ambulance Assoc. held a
banquet to celebrate 40 years of service to the community. Approximately
65 employees, friends, and supporters of Berlin EMS were in attendance at the
banquet, which was held at the Berlin Borough Building and catered by the Berlin
Vol. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. President Sue Walker highlighted
some of the association's accomplishment over the past 40 years. A
representative for Pennsylvania Senator Richard A. Kasunic presented the
ambulance association with a special recognition award for it's 40 years of
service. A video slideshow was compiled from pictures taken of the
ambulance service over the years was also debuted at the banquet. After
the program, attendees got to tour the ambulances and see some of the new
equipment available to the EMS crews. The Berlin Area Ambulance Assoc.,
would like to thank all who attended the banquet and would like to extend a
special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary for cooking and serving the
meal.
