Crews Offer Blood Pressure Screenings at Block Party
The
Berlin Area Ambulance Association once again manned a booth at the annual Berlin
Fireman's Block Party from June 4-7, 2008. The duty crews offered free
blood pressure checks to patrons of the Block Party, thus promoting a heart
healthy community. The service also offered free child safety coloring
books, calendars, magnets, and maps to visitors of the EMS booth. The EMS
crews benefited from the use of the new Polaris Ranger Tactical unit in
maneuvering around the block party crowds during the event. The crews also
provided first aid services and emergency standby.
